Simple! Other music players I tried have been overly complicated and unable to display albums in release order. AIMP lets me do that, and even better it allowed me to apply Artist art instead of random album covers. I'd like to see AIMP and all music apps add the ability to read "artist.x" image files and apply them. I'd also like AIMP to ignore "the". As simple as AIMP is, it also let me simplify it even more, removing unwanted sorts to make the interface as clean as possible.

I really dislike some parts about the interface - it's just not intuitive. I'm giving four stars because this is the one decent player I found with NO ADS! It also has eq, optional fading and even midi (but no way to add custom soundfonts on the mobile version yet). This ultimately will do the job and it's worth getting used to the weird interface to not have to deal with ads.

It's an easy app to use and it comes with some nice customisation. Probably a free music player for offline songs without ads. Used this for 5 years and I can tell you that I didn't face any problems with it. Gonna recommend this to anyone who's planning to use some MP3 Music player cause you'll always find ads in others. This one does not which says a lot.

Well VLC and Foobar started crashing on me pretty often within the last 4 or 5 months so it was time for me to look elsewhere for a simple straight forward player. AIMP works like it should. The interface can be a bit daunting after being used to a different UI, but you'll get the hang of it pretty fast, it doesn't scan my phone for files when ever I load it up which is just fine because less time waiting and the eq is awesome, allowing you to draw your own mix.

Right now this is pretty much the perfect app for my needs. I switched over from Rocket player after an update made it useless. AIMP is everything I wanted it to be. Seems to work faster and better than RP ever did. I love the old school feel and UI, it plays all my files and finds them easily. It's as if this app was made specifically for me. I desperately hope they never put ads in and force me to change this to a one-star review..

pretty good, but sometimes struggles to recognize folders when updating content. would be 5 stars if they could fix that. response: by update content, i mean that when i press "update content" for the app to scan my music folders. when it finishes scanning, some of the folders dont show up. rescanning the folders will sometimes fix it but will also sometimes forget some folders that were previously recognized. i apologize if i didnt explain the issue very well.

I was looking for a new music app and tried this one. So far it appears to be a good app. My only complaint at the moment is I can't get the app to NOT automatically play music when it connects with my vehicles. I thought I found the setting to fix that but nope, it still plays music when I don't want it to. Frustration with finding the right setting is why it gets a 3 star rating. If I could figure out this issue, it would be higher.

Great app. The only thing that was an issue was the adding of lyrics. When in properties and adding lyrics, you have to option to from a .txt file. It loads in fine and I can see the lyrics but when I try to save, it doesn't. It just says no value. What I've done is when I load the .txt file I copy the txt ( bottom right corner for me), save (and it doesn't), reopen and PASTE the lyrics and save. The app pauses for a second then s the lyrics. Its an extra step but it works.
