Perceptron is a new incremental game which is based around the idea of building and training a neural network. The concepts behind a neural network have been distilled to their essence in this idle simulation.

Not to say the game is simple. Sure, it starts simple with only nodes, training, and data, but soon balloons into a complex idle game with prestige and upgrades. Not to mention offline .

Take on the role of a young undergraduate student as you become quite the idle tycoon. Soon you'll be rivaling even GPT-3.

Perceptron is not just another idle clicker. It was designed around the idea of training a neural network and has taken inspiration from many neural network topics. Who knows, you might even end up learning something.

Pretty fresh in the world of idle games. It's slower-paced than most others, so you won't feel an instantaneous sense of progress all at once; it comes in stages. My favorite part of the game is that you are rewarded more for optimizing growth rates, and less for mindless phone-tapping. I hate "idle" games where you gain orders of magnitude more by focusing on a task than by letting it idle for a while. Here, there is pretty much no reward for sitting on your phone all day.

Ya know.. I've been playing this for about 6 months and as slow as it was to progress I've learned to appreciate this game. It's not exactly simple. But it's. Not impossible. You can spend all day on it, or 1 minute a day and still progress. Its well thought out and, considering it's simple graphics, leaves me wondering what will come next. I highly recommend anyone who likes idle games but doesn't like the daily routine that comes with most of them to try this one out.

Previously 5-starred, but an update that added microtransactions makes the leaderboards meaningless. It was nice seeing my attention to the game rewarded by steady progress up the ranks, but that's gone now. On its own, the game isn't all that compelling. The progression unlocks don't ultimately change the playstyle all that much. Without a fair ladder I'm not sure what anyone will really find rewarding about the game outside of 100%'ing tiers as a completionist.

The game is too slow. I thought it might pick up after a bit, but it doesn't appear to. The game seems to have exponentially rising requirements which clash with the slow linear growth. Basically, the buyable stuff doesn't do enough to make it worth buying, but you can't progress unless you buy it. It is a good idea with bad implementation. If you like slow games, then this is for you.

Very important: NO FORCED ADS. Only ads when you want to double income. So far, so good. Finally a idle developer that gets it. If the pace gets moving a little bit quicker I'll consider buying the $3.99 deal. 4 stars vs. 5 stars: too much of a grind to start off with. This is something I know people like and dislike. I just happen to be on the dislike side.

As a fan of idle games this is particularly... Bland. It's not actively bad, but there's very little depth and prestige, progress is slow by idle standards, and there's not much offered to keep bringing you back. It uses a lot of technical jargon with no explanation, and overall requires far more player interaction than one would expect. Automation is slim, and I found the game to be a chore to knock out once a day after some time.

This is a really cool concept, but painfully slow, even for an incremental game. Basically I open the game once each morning, push the maybe one or two highlighted buttons that cost way too much for a meaningless boost, set the 5 hour "find open source data" button and then put it away for another day or two. I don't even bother with the 3 second and 24 second data buttons. I'm getting on average 1 minute of interaction per day.

This is a very complex and detailed idle game. It's not easy at first. And yet it is. It's fun and there's plenty to do. The ads are optional. For 2x boost. I paid the $4.99 to get rid of them and have a permanent 2x boost (as well as ing the developer) This is the kind of idle game that you can play for a while or leave for hours. My only issue is that sometimes when I open it, the bottom buttons aren't showing. So I can't change screens Otherwise I love the game.
