Most of the bad reviews are due to people not understanding how to load maps and plugins. The app for the unexperienced required a learning curve. However, there are multiple YouTube and Reddit threads that have in depth knowledge on how to utilize the application, setting up networks and servers for teams, configuring Meshtastic and other "off grid" solutions. Research and you'll understand. Research is knowledge and knowledge is power. This application has been very advantageous for my SAR

I found out the problems with deleting markers etc. If you have the hammer plug in installed into atak it will start creating issues with deletion etc. Unload the hammer plug in and reset atak and everything should work like normal. 4 Stars till this is fixed.

I do long trails and this enables people at home to know exactly where I am at any time. Also has the trails so I can find my way back to it even going cross country in unknown areas.

it drains on the battery like its mining bitcoin, its insane. also the drawin menu esp for ops sucks so hard. hardly usable. EDIT: A simple draw method for lines, directions and thigs as treanches would be nice, i looked for hours and could not find it (on the civ version) Mby i was not fair. Its an awesome app, but the battery drain is rly huge to be honest and the menu needs a lot of training, its a bit overwhelming at first.

Special "Allow access to all files" required. No other software I've seen needs this... I was able to get past some of the other ridiculous requirements, but it won't work without total file access...

Barely usable. The map is not usable. It s incredibly slow even on wifi. There's not much you can do with this app. Just popping in, it's very vague and confusing. You need to spend time trying everything, but pointless without a map ing. It's blurry, and the pixels are huge.

Very complex, extensible, customizable, full-featured mapping app, this is useful for storm chasing, fire spotting, hot air balloon chasing/competition, and all sorts of land, sea, and air navigation and team coordination.

3 stars to be fair because I never used the product. The permissions it requires are not congrent with the utility this app provides. If you need location access all the time and need my encryption , this app is not for me.
