I already recommended this to a friend. Between lessons and puzzles, learning is straight forward. AI, friend, and online play are options for the player. The music is cheerful to boot! There are somethings locked behind pay walls, which is a little lame, but most of it is cosmetics, and what isn't doesn't heavily impact the core mechanics.

The tutorial isn't basic enough, and a decent amount of "puzzles" make no sense solution wise. Then when you teach me the basics, you send me off against an AI that knows a trillion techniques just so that I can get raked over the coals to feel worse about myself. How about you explain your dumb little "eye solutions" instead of being like: obviously 10 moves into the future, you will win the dead space. Screw you, this app fluctuates between teaching the obvious and then assuming 7 future move

When trying to play online, it only gives two ways to , Google or Facebook . Whent trying to using my Facebook , the app freezes and I'm unable to proceed further. Edit: Apologies, somehow I failed to realize I could change the AI opponent to a harder one. Maybe adding a strength next to the name when starting a match might help make this more apparent. That said, I am kind of sad I didn't catch that myself first. Thanks for informing me of it though developer!

Good for experienced players or players better than novices, but for beginner's who've never played before, the first AI is way too hard. It capitalizes whenever I make mistakes and seems to create strategies that are long winded. So when you feel as if you've finally gotten close to beating it, it makes one move that captures 16 pieces, leaving you back in the dust. I'd understand if it was a rare moment for the AI, but this happens every game. It never tells you what you did wrong. Not good.

Edited: it ends up there is no bug but my mistake. The team respond to my problem pretty fast (within 15 mins), and is currently investigating my issue. For unknown reasons the puzzles I unlocked with study keys do not go into permanent collection anymore after I unlocked around 18 puzzles. So I wasted my study keys on puzzles that I cannot go back to review in future. Otherwise, the lessons are a good start for go beginner, and you have variety of different levels of AI to practice.

Really good app if you pay for , not a lot of long term value otherwise. Especially if you're a beginner. You're forced into a time limit that doesn't give you much time to think about moves and have to pay to increase the time. You're also unable to play against an AI more than a few times per day unless you pay, again the exact opposite of what beginners need.

a nice training and practice app. scaled AI for playing. you can also play with random people or friends. you can play free with tickets that you get over time but you can max have three at a time. the paid version has unlimited play but it is a subscription and it is WAY too expensive (closer to 100 dollars a year). the developers would make way more money in the US if it was a one time $5 cost.

Cool features, like the AI have specific strategies and its easy to learn with them. Biggest issue is that a full sized match takes all of your tickets and you have to wait for them to regenerate before you can do anything else, unless you pay $7/month. The microtransactions are also ridiculous if you're someone who buys ingame items. Some of the avatars are $20!! Hints and things will run you a couple dollars. I don't buy that stuff, and the app works well, it just all feels like a cash grab.
