wow! I have to confess I didn't know what stems were until I use this app! Well I knew but I didn't understand the word stem as a term for audio processing. The app for exceeded what I expected for removing vocals. I have old tapes with vocals on them and people singing in the background that weren't supposed to be on the tape and this removed every vocal perfectly! I also had a need to extract drums and a guitar from an old tape that was already mixed and it did a great job, I recommend !

I discovered this app over a year ago. And not only do I love it but I have come to depend on it for creating nice clean audio for video. As an Instructional Designer and a Video Producer, I often find myself needing to clean up the soundtrack of podcasts, Multi camera shoots, animated explainer videos, training videos and so on. LALAL.AI was so good at separating music from vocals that I was able to use it to separate background noise from vocals. This was before they even had that feature.

Won't even let you make two working stems before the app freezes and you simultaneously run dry of your allotted "free" credits. Don't waste your time. There is much better and actually free stem separation apps in the Play or App store. Unmix is a great one that lets your gain credits by watching short ads you can even silence. But for a one time (but upgradable!) fee of fifteen to twenty five dollars? The Koala Sampler app will absolutely blow your dirty mind. Don't waste your valued time here

Does Not work on Android. Mobile app needs to be fixed (file permissions after processing). It works on Windows. DO NOT INSTALL ON PHONE! This is for a with a PAID PACKAGE. By the way, you'll notice that critical reviews receive NO response from the devs. The reason. NO TECH ! That's called incompetence.

So I actually did not know they updated the app! They have a new v5 Perseus. And I had no intention of reing my song file and it's noticably better and cleaner sounding from v4 Orion. I guess they edited how much of certain frequencies the cut or boosted. I will just do my next song files with the new v5 to not waste minutes. And they seemed to fix the issue of me not being able to find my files. Still the same horrible deals on mobile though so I will continue to buy minutes on the site.

I am blown away. I have this audio from a short film I shot at a bar and the ice machine stepped all over the dialogue. This completely split the dialogue from the background noise and cleaned and beefed up the dialogue. In the span of 15 minutes. WOW

This app is horrible. It does not even split the songs into vocal and instrumental. The vocal becomes a blank line moving with no sound. Any instrumental is still the same song with both vocals and instrumental combined. Make it work right and maybe you'll get a better rating.
