Worked really well in Korea (Seoul and Jeju) but I can barely get 1 bar on 4G in Tokyo. Tbh the connection was pretty bad everywhere in Japan. I'd get 2 bars at 4G max. It also goes in and out of service quite a lot while my family member on Nomad could still get a connection. Images won't load. Also hate that plan usage starts right after you buy it while other esim providers start only once you connect to the network. It's also more expensive and you can't choose the ccy to charge.

In contrast to the website, you can't order data packages that activate at later point in time in the app, it's quite obvious to me that this is an important feature because you want a package to start being active *on* a trip... Inquired about this with the customer but only got that looked like AI generated replies not applicable to my question.

I easily installed the Europe 10GB eSim plan prior to flying to Europe and it worked perfectly the minute my plane landed. It worked seamlessly for the entire time I was in Portugal and Italy and I often connected to 5G networks, only occasionally falling back to LTE and 4G connections. It rarely did not have service except for in remote areas. Overall, it worked very reliably and I would use it again in the future!

The app never worked right but I was able to get my data working until it ran out. I added 3gb to my plan and I never received the data. No matter what I tried it wouldn't work. My vacation is now over and the 3 GB never made it to my . I tried asking a refund but customer service is impossible to get ahold of. Better be safe and use a different service because they will steal your money. Customer service only answers with a automated email, trying to avoid a refund.

The UI is very misleading. It should be made clear that it'd impossible to buy more than 1 eSIM per , even though such an occurrence is common with tourists who visit another country and want to buy eSIMs for their family simultaneously on one . Neither is this info shown prominently in the Ubigi site. And customer service is waaay to slow to resolve this: email back-and-forth every 24h, really??

Super easy to use and set up. Got a plan for a trip to Japan and it was extremely simple to get going. I temporary unlocked my phone and it did the rest. Will definitely be using this service when traveling again.

Doesn't let me install esim profile after I paid Gives unhelpful error message that FAQ says error is bc I've already installed on another device, which I haven't. OR bc I've installed 5 times on current device (also not true) No help, no other info. 9 dollars wasted. E: you CANNOT order this if you're not in your home country. Then will not tell you this, only vaguely hint at it. If you are already abroad, DO NOT buy this. One star stays for that reason.

Works ok when it works (a little slow, but serviceable), but the app is clunky and they've been having issues with service dropping out randomly. Big inconvenience when you're traveling!
