A major failing is that this app does not rotate to landscape mode on a phone. Apparently this is an intentional design decision, but it is a bad one. The app shows the scheduled programs, but the names of those programs are often cut off in portrait mode because the screen is too narrow. Rotating to landscape mode would reduce the number of channels visible at a time, but would allow the full name of the next scheduled program to be visible. Landscape mode works just fine on a tablet.

Giving three stars because if I use the remote app and search for movies or tv shows thru the app search bar it tells me most the time I need to rent said movie but if I use the arrow keys and do the search thru my cable box it shows I have said movie available to watch.... I also find it very aggravating that I can't search the movies and shows in the same way I can with a regular remote. There is no free for me option.

Used to love, then liked it, now worthless. Bad day when comcast was forced to remove record setting feature but I still liked app for checking scheduled recordings. The last few months this feature doesn't work either. Have reinstalled several times and still doesn't work. Update: 4/29/19 Tried reinstalling again just in case they fixed anything. No such luck. Such apathy is why I'm probably going to cancel comcast.

I don't use this app regularly so I'm not sure when it broke but recently it is completely useless. Clicking on anything leads to an error message and there is no way to use the app to control my television. Even when it worked the app has always been rather mediocre, especially after the removal of the channel search button on favor of a voice search button.

Lost my remote and was hopeful this would work until the remote turned up, but nope. It only picked up 2 of the 4 boxes (of course not the one I needed it to) and kept giving me errors. Tried to install and reinstall since the box I was trying to use it on was powered off at the time of install...same thing. I'm not too lazy to change the channel manually, it would be nice to have that option on the box itself...so back to looking for remote

I can see the channel list and it won't let me do anything else all of a sudden! I deleted several times and it's doing the same thing! I have just noticed lots of ppl are having the same issue. I don't mean to be rude, but you have no problem disconnecting our service when our payments are late, shouldn't you work properly, when we are paying!! Please fix this, as I am now paying $150+/month to stare at a black screen!

Misleading....You need the box to use the remote. I specifically got the "streaming app" to be hassle free of the bulky box, cords, etc. Gaining an advantage, and I thought I wouldn't lose out on that big "voice feature" and be able to use my phone (the xfinity remote) as oppose to the small, baby size Roku remote (Yeah.....Roku required).Of which you have to flip back and forth to the entire menu instead of just pressing "up" or "down", to change a channel. DIS-ADVANTAGE. WHY..WHY.....WHY ?

Totally useless, a totally ignored app by Xfinity that hasn't been updated in a year, and lost its ability to set recordings from away from home.. Good job Xfinity I would think we pay enough each month to justify a working app that does the 2 things everyone wants it to do, work efficiently, and give the ability to set recordings from home....
