Die CortexApp ist der Nachrichtendienst der neuropsychiatrischen Berufsverbände: Der Berufsverband der Deutschen Nervenärzte (BVDN) bietet seinen Mitgliedern die Möglichkeit, wichtige Informationen aus dem Bund wie auch aus den Landesverbänden direkt als Push-Nachricht auf das eigene Smartphone oder Tablet zu empfangen. Die Nutzer und Nutzerinnen der Cortex-App müssen Mitglieder im BVDN sein und können sich mittels Mitgliedsnummer auch anmelden. Jedes Mitglied kann durch einfaches Anklicken auswählen, welchen Informationskanal des BVDN er oder sie auswählen möchte. Für Mitglieder des Berufsverbandes Deutscher Psychiater (BVDP) und auch des Berufsverbandes Deutscher Neurologen (BDN) stehen ebenfalls bundesweit verfügbare Kanäle zur Verfügung, die ebenfalls durch Anhaken ganz einfach abonniert werden können. So erhalten alle Mitglieder wichtige Informationen z.B. zu Honoraren oder Fortbildungsveranstaltungen schnell und direkt auf das eigene Smartphone.
