Biblia Reina-Valera Antigua - Biblia del Oso

La Reina-Valera, también llamada Biblia de Casiodoro de Reina o Biblia del Oso, es una de las primeras traducciones de la Biblia al castellano. La obra fue hecha a partir de la traducción de los textos originales en hebreo y griego y fue publicada en Basilea, Suiza, el 28 de septiembre de 1569. Su traductor fue Casiodoro de Reina, religioso español convertido al protestantismo. Recibe el sobrenombre de Reina-Valera por haber hecho Cipriano de Valera la primera revisión de ella en 1602

Aparte del texto original y las versiones latinas, al hacer su traducción tuvo Casiodoro de Reina a la vista los trabajos anteriores de Valdés (por ejemplo, sus Salmos en español), de Enzinas, y de Pérez de (la) Pineda, así como la Biblia Ferrariense.

En la traducción de 1569 Reina utilizó los últimos adelantos de las ciencias bíblicas. Por ejemplo, usó la división del Nuevo Testamento en versículos, que había sido introducida en forma impresa sólo unos pocos años antes (1550), y lamentó que una nueva publicación Peshita le hubiese llegado demasiado tarde para poder tomarla en cuenta.

Esta obra ha sido sometida a muchas revisiones como la del señor Valera amigo de Reina quien hizo la primera revisión y luego muchas otras. La última en 1995 por Sociedades Bíblicas Unidas. Actualmente se conoce como la Biblia Reina-Valera.

I'm very grateful for this translation. The Holy Spirit has revealed truth to me from reading very carefully the book of Romans. Of course I checked the Greek text to make sure it was accurate! When youb updated your version, you ommitted the Saturday as the day of the Lord. The first version, before this update, mentioned Saturday in all the respective places as the origina version of the " Biblia del Oso". I am very displeased!!!!!! Would like to have the Original Version not this update. Are you going to answer me?.
