Omada app is used for configuring and managing your Omada devices. You can change settings, monitor the network status and manage clients, all from the convenience of a smart phone or tablet.STANDALONE MODE
Standalone mode is designed for managing EAPs or wireless routers right away without having to spend time configuring a controller. Each device is managed separately. This mode is recommended for networks which only have a few EAPs (or wireless routers) and require only basic functions, such as home network.
CONTROLLER MODE
Controller mode works together with a software Omada Controller or a hardware Cloud Controller, and is suitable for managing multiple devices (including gateways, switches and EAPs) centrally. Controller mode allows you to configure and automatically synchronize unified settings to the devices in the network. Compared to Standalone Mode, more configuration options are available and s to manage more devices in Controller mode.
You can manage devices in Controller mode in two ways: via Local Access or Cloud Access. In Local Access mode, the Omada app can manage devices when the Controller and your mobile device are in the same subnet; in Cloud Access mode, the Omada app can access the Controller across the internet so you can manage your devices wherever you are.
Compatibility List:
The controller mode currently s hardware cloud controllers (OC200 V1, OC300 V1), software Omada Controller v3.0.2 and above. (To experience more features and more stable services, we recommend that you upgrade your controller to a new version).

I like the app a whole lot. Only issue really is that it doesn't display all of the Sites when I'm in the Dashboard. If I search for them I can find any Site, but If I'm just scrolling, it only loads like half. EDIT: This has been fixed now. It now loads all Sites. Thank you. Also wish there was a way to sort Sites by Alphabetical Order or something.

Update: it seems that cloud access via the app nog longer works as before. I am able to access my controller via a browser but in the app, it looks like it wants me to add another controller for cloud and it is not pulling in my devices. Weird. Worked fine before, no changes in my setup, cloud access is clearly enabled. Old: Nice app, works well. As others have mentioned, it would be great if you could name the clients. And while we're at it, be able to change the icons as in the Tether app.

Latest version sucks, broke everything. Tried to use the cloud access for the first time since the update. Could not as it was no longer there. Local site was still there and works. Tried to set it up cloud access and when entering the Device , it fails. The es all of the requirements, especially as it works when logging in via local lan. Not happy

Two star review because one of the changes is entirely illogical. Previously the controller software version was displayed in the controller list (I managed more than one network) so it was easy to keep track of any required updates. Now it's been replaced by the words "Omada Standard". Why?! Installers like me needs these features.

Missing some settings for some devices. Understandable I suppose. Not sure why, but, even though omada has a clean, modern looking aesthetic, I find it very difficult to find things and navigate. Their UX team has some serious work to do....

It's off to a good start but missing a lot of features still. Would be nice if the phone app had the hotspot manager built into it to manage guests efficiently from your phone. Otherwise all good.

Kinda does the job but what I'm really interested in is for the app to notify me when any of the wan connections goes down.
